Conversations With Death is a collection of photographs and poems inspired by imagined exchanges with Death in the Australian outback during March – May 2020.

I flew to Australia for family reasons in March and ended up staying longer than anticipated due to the pandemic. Whilst I was there, I’d go for bush walks around the home where I grew up and it was during these walks, in a landscape overwhelming with a haunting density and silence that I began having conversations with Death. Death brought me to the heart and has had a deep impact on my perspective on the nature of things – form and formless.
