Conversation With Death is a collection of photographs and poems inspired by imagined exchanges with Death in the Australian outback during March – May 2020.

I flew to Australia for family reasons in March and ended up staying longer than anticipated due to the pandemic. Whilst I was there, I’d go for bush walks and it was during these walks that I began having conversations with Death. First by gut, then sight, then as I fell deeper into the aliveness of the landscape I became overwhelmed, battling the silence. It brought me to the heart and into awareness, a different perspective about the nature of things –  form and formless.
